There’s no denying that it’s been an exciting year so far for Ecova. In April, Ecova was recognized with the EPA’s highest honor – the ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year, Sustained Excellence Award. We also announced significant milestones for our clients, including identifying $800 million in energy savings for commercial and industrial clients in 2013 and delivering 90 TWh of energy savings to utility customers.
The exciting times continue, as today I am happy to announce that Ecova is now part of Cofely, the leading brand of GDF SUEZ Energy Services.
Ecova has had an incredible evolution since its founding nearly two decades ago by a handful of employees with a grand vision to pioneer a utility expense management company. As our clients’ needs have grown and evolved, so has our company and our offerings. Today, we have over 1,400 employees dedicated to helping clients of all industries and sizes address their energy and sustainability needs.
This acquisition is a next step in Ecova’s evolution.
Cofely is a global leader in energy efficiency, multi-technical services and outsourcing for companies and communities. Through this acquisition, Ecova will be able to capitalize on Cofely’s global presence and leadership and continue investing in our existing and new solutions and delivering significant value to our clients in North America and beyond.
Now that the sale is complete, we are actively planning for the future with our new parent company, where we look forward to providing a broader range of valuable services to our respective clients.
I am proud of what Ecova has accomplished so far, and look forward to the next chapter.
