Tennessee Regulations

Regulatory Update

In 2014, Tennessee joined a host of states considering a bill concerned with energy efficiency in schools, supported by initiatives including the U.S. Green Building Council’s Green Apple Day of Service, which works to transform schools into healthy, safe and productive learning environments through service projects.

A separate Tennessee bill signed into law in 2014 requires the University of Tennessee to perform a study on the economic feasibility of creating and utilizing a statewide comprehensive energy policy that includes promotion of energy conservation, among other measures.
