The US electric Utilities are in the midst of a dramatic transition from promoting CFLs as an alternative to conventional incandescent lamps within their energy efficiency lighting programs. Today’s landscape provides opportunities to rebate and promote more efficient and expensive LEDs relative to improved Incandescent lamps. It also presents them with a changing base case as it relates to kWhr savings because Congress has outlawed traditional incandescent lamps in favor of slightly more efficient lamps.
